BIKING TOUR
Mountain bike holiday in Bhutan best suited for beginners to intermediate riders. The route takes you to the three most popular valleys offering a combination of comfortable riding on well-paved roads with some challenging gradients on the Dochula pass (3050m) that allows us to sample some high-level and quite technical riding, whilst marveling at the fantastic mountain views from the pass.
This means that our riders will be encompassing varied scenery and a huge range of cultural experiences. Whether it’s enjoying a gentle country stroll, or the breath-taking landscape and the monumental fortresses, the living culture of the people in their traditional costumes or the enchanting folklore and history – the package ushers the guest to experience the main attractions of western Bhutan and will leave you with an indelible feeling of mysticism and contemplation. Exhilarating biking by day and chilling out in comfortable hotels and urban centers and campsites in the evenings, gives this holiday a unique and special quality that discerning mountain bikers will find very appealing. A support vehicle will follow the group with plenty of cold drinks and snacks.
RIVER RAFTING AND FISHING TOUR
This easy adventure trip combines kayaking, rafting and fishing in two beautiful crystal rivers of Bhutan. Visitors do not need prior experience to do this trip as it is specially designed for beginners and we’ll have some of our best crew to guide you on location. The trip begins in Thimphu with a cultural sightseeing around the city before you head towards Punakha where the great Punatsangchhu river flows through it. First day on the river is an easy drifting on the Pho Chhu River, which is graded as class II and III; Second day fishing in Mo Chhu that is known for big brown trouts. Then another half day kayaking and rafting on the Mo Chhu then proceed to Chendebjee and enjoy whole day fishing the next day in Nikka Chhu river. Rewind back to Paro for the Tiger’s Nest. Our trips are of the highest quality and safety standards.
FESTIVAL TOUR
Festivals (Tshechu) in Bhutan are one of the most colourful, raucous and joyous affairs. Tshechus are rich and happy expression of its ancient Buddhist Culture. These festivals are held in all districts and most of them are in honor of Guru Rinpoche, the saint who introduced Buddhism to Bhutan in the 8th century. Tshechus take place on auspicious days in the Bhutanese calendar, and lasts for several days in which a series of colourful masked dances and rituals are performed. Tshechus are rich form of oral tradition of storytelling where Buddhist values, mythology and spiritual beliefs are expressed through dances & dramas.
